@Giona: I also only know some of their works, in fact I haven't listened to "Culture of Ascent" by Glass Hammer, but among their earlier works, I particularly find "Shadowlands" to be a good album. Speaking of Progarchives, regarding the '90s and the more recent period, I mainly follow those bands that are classified under Post Rock, Math Rock (GY!BE, A Silver Mt. Zion, Don Caballero, Mogwai...etc). Do you appreciate anything of this kind?

Welcome back Emanuele! I don't know them.

Wonderful of them is also the subsequent "Crafty Hands". Regarding American Progressive, other bands that I particularly appreciate besides Happy The Man are Glass Hammer, Discipline (who take inspiration from the style of Van Der Graaf Generator), but above all Djam Karet.

Beautiful sounds, teetering between Space Rock and symphonic Prog!

An album that initially didn't convince me like the works of GY!BE or the earlier ones by A Silver Mt. Zion, but which I now genuinely appreciate a lot, especially "Blindblindblind," among the peaks of Efrim & Co., the perfect way to refresh their style.

@Larrok: I didn't mean that the approach to Prog structures is always synonymous with a step up, you know :), but it is in this latest work of theirs, in my opinion.

Their best work for me is precisely this last album, now they could simply be defined as "Progressive Metal." Besides having made a leap in quality, they have modified some components of their style, partially moving away from the Hardcore brutality of their previous works, composing Prog structures especially in the tracks "The Czar" and "The Last Baron."
