@Jdv666: I recommend starting with "Moving Pictures" from 1981.

The 5 is for the masterpieces produced between the late '70s and early '80s. "Snakes & Arrows" is still another remarkable work.

Welcome back, Tortoise!
AA. VV. Harbour Of Joy - Camel Tribute

The post-70s Prog scene I prefer is the Swedish one from the early '90s (Anglagard, Anekdoten, Landberk). Recently, I've been enjoying a lot the productions from Black Widow.
AA. VV. Harbour Of Joy - Camel Tribute

Interesting review of this Camel tribute. What to say about Camel (or Latimer & Co.), a great band, authors of a Prog perfectly balanced between technique and symphony, never diffuse, true masters of the genre.
Pekka Pohjola Visitation
Voto:
Among his most notable fans was Frank Zappa. A great artist, Pohjola, both with Wigwam and as a solo artist, whose earlier works I appreciate the most.

Great find, Macaco! I miss this. Cuneiform is one of the best record labels.

Very good. Excellent analysis of a work that further demonstrates the artistic value and courage of Area, one of the best projects ever on a global level, perhaps the best in Italy.

It was a way of saying that Kraut Rock is not just an imitation of historic 60s bands or Zappa; I simply disagree with the review, that's all. I certainly don't accuse you of "lumping everything together." I’m actually sorry to give you a 1, my comment wasn’t meant in a bad tone;), and it's understandable that the first listens of Faust or Can might seem derivative for those who know Zappa or Velvet Underground at first.

So would even the early Tangerine Dream be an imitation of Pink Floyd's "A Saucerful Of Secrets"?... or would even Can just be an imitation of Zappa?... it's not quite like that.
