The Ramones (I'm not a fan) even though they used three easy chords, invented a genre; they were out of the box and against the system. They weren't predictable and super kitsch like these Offspring. The Angels & Airwaves (claim to be punk) that I would call pseudo-punk in the sense that they have nothing to do with punk, and then the leader was part of that musical abomination Blink-182.
