I saw them at the Velvet but I don’t remember the year, '89? '91?, but I remember Mike Watt breaking a bass string at the start of a song because of how physical his playing is. Amazing.

Simply magnificent like the album! I prefer the first one slightly, where the influence of the Minutemen is still strong, while here Crawford is becoming less timid and is playing a decisive role in creating something different. I’ll just add that under the photo of Husker Du there’s another one of D. Boon sleeping. Ah... for me, the Clash come afterward... but that’s a detail.
