Good job, great review; your immense passion for this band really comes through. However, I absolutely do not share that enthusiasm, as I find the aforementioned band very, very overrated. Plus, Bono really gets on my nerves in a way you can't even imagine. Does he really believe he's the savior of the world??? And what about his "tax evasions"??? Are they part of his plan to save us too? Bah..........

for rive: I didn't mean to compare Painkiller to Death Magnetic, my point was simply to say that many great bands, right when they are considered dead, pull off a comeback; I used Painkiller as an example, but I could have mentioned Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath, The Gathering by Testament, or many others. It was just an example, not a comparison.
for holdsworth: I don't know if you know that Kirk Hammett was a student of Satriani; maybe it's a tribute to the master......... and I don't believe that Metallica composed this album with the intention of creating something new; on the contrary, they wanted to recapture the sound of their early albums.
