Congratulations on the really well-written review! I remember having written a classical music review myself, but unfortunately, it didn't go well, especially not worthy of the great Bach... you instead have been up to the task, well done. My favorite movements are winter and spring; they drive me crazy. A greeting from the super;)

Stoney, I partly agree with you wholeheartedly... However, in my opinion, this discussion cannot be made for "be." In fact, I believe this album is the best of their career, especially for its conceptual and lyrical value. Right from the title “BE” (to be), Pain of Salvation, quite explicitly, try to take us on a journey about existence and the value of life. A round of applause also goes to the band for how they have approached this concept, without arrogance, but rather highlighting consciousness and reason from their point of view, then focusing on the value of existence as seen through the lens of each individual human being. Unfortunately, most prog bands (especially those with a metal inclination), as you say dear Stoney, and I respect you and fully agree, almost always fall into the trap of having nothing to say. They are good at playing, but they end up making a mishmash of randomly chosen genres not because there's any sense in choosing one genre over another, but just to show off that they can play them. Thus, in a 10-minute piece, we shift from brutal to lyrical and then to rumba and Arabic music, without any reason behind it, just to say, "Hey, look what I can do, I'm good, huh?". It's no coincidence that we have glaring examples such as the instrument wankers par excellence, namely various Dream Theater, Symphony X, etc. Instead, here, Pain of Salvation have shown us that even through poetry and lyrics, a great album can be made, and on top of that, it's well played.
