I understand, Purplefaith. I just want to add that I'm sure you would appreciate Star Trek (since you like Asimov and quality science fiction), so I invite you, if you feel like it, to check it out. I recommend TOS and TNG, which in my opinion are the best ones so far (the others are good too). Bye.

The fact is, dear happypippo, that in that review the old Nietzsche only passes by obliquely... in reality, there is much more at stake... there isn't just one philosophy (much less the nihilist one, which I do not share at all), but there is an independent thought that does not want to have the arrogance of being absolute, on the contrary.

And Stephen Hawking also acted in Star Trek TNG...

alessioIRIDE, that's right, the good ASIMOV was a great trekker as well as one of the screenwriters of the first series... even a certain Stephen Hawking (the man with the highest IQ in the world) was a screenwriter for Star Trek (and he is still a big fan)... hello

Dear happypippo, I feel vaguely offended by your tone (bignami...) a bit mocking (by the way, for no reason)... Anyway, if you really want to know my source, well, I can tell you that regarding Nietzsche and company, I'm not exactly a newbie. I got a 30 e Lode 73 days ago in my philosophy exam for the Master's degree program at "La Sapienza" University in Rome... and I didn’t study just from bignami; I worked my ass off like a “sgommarello”... so I kindly ask you to engage with me without using easy (and utterly banal) rhetoric.

No, but I don't want to act all smart; I just enjoy comparing ideas :)

The stories are beautiful, just like the human relationships between the characters... the effects a little less so, but we don't want the focus to be on that, rather on the story and its unfolding... the opposite of Lucas's antics (I would almost say Casella).
