Quentin Tarantino Django Unchained
Voto:
The film is a real mess. Full of the now-famous Tarantino "quotations" (aren't there too many of them..? Is it time for Quentin to start creating something original again?) and the actors are good (of course). However, in the end, I’m left with the impression of a disjointed film, lacking direction, devoid of identity, not ironic enough, not mean enough, not historical enough, not enough of anything. If you remove the scenes of the fight between the mandinghi and the mutilated corpse, you’d seriously want to ask for your 7 euros back. PS I was forced to go see it by friends. Tarantino is to the Western what Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli is to the electric guitar. One only had to watch the previous films to understand that.

In short, in the end all the non "polished and shiny" guitarists who died young, possibly from drugs or alcohol, are better than Clapton. But go screw yourselves. This album is devastatingly boring.

Scattered thoughts: And so in the year of Our Lord 2010, they discovered that the rich go with whores. And the poor do too. Those who govern go. Those who do nothing go. Anyone who feels like it goes to whores. Being a whore is the oldest profession in the world. It seems that customers are never lacking. What is the problem with going to whores? That those in the limelight shouldn’t go? Or that they shouldn’t get caught because “it doesn't look good”? In 2011, they discovered that where there is power, there are whores. A discovery destined to change the course of human history. Where there are whores, there is money. Money for whores and money for those who, in one way or another, orbit around the whores. Including Guzzanti. Who churns out this “whore-ish” piece, with a predictably cheesy and fawning title, to make a few bucks himself. The faults of Berlusconi, if he has any real and prosecutable ones beyond mere opinion, are other than merely surrounding himself with whores who want cash or jobs or both. Those who are born truly beautiful have always had countless advantages in life compared to others who had to struggle. And I am sure that, for the most part, it was the whores who came knocking on Berlusconi’s door and not the other way around. And I don’t like Berlusconi. They should start protesting against the price of gasoline at 1600 euros, against the outrageous rents and property sales at prices offensive (those truly are) to the dignity of the people, against the impending return of nuclear power, against the privatization of water... not against Berlusconi and his whores! Guzzanti, be quiet; you belong to that system too. You are neck-deep in the whorecracy as well.
Roberto Benigni Il Mostro

The real Benigni ends with "Il piccolo diavolo." Maybe even before that... Then he was devoured by the "system," which in return made him super famous and a millionaire... this movie is then full of irritating banality and self-indulgence. But how can you give it 5 stars? What do you give to "Il posto delle fragole," "Quarto potere," or "La dolce vita"?

Agreed with London. Best was probably catching way more than the others. Including Paul, who did everything to get rid of him. Women have always decided, for better or for worse, the fates of the world, including the Genesis of the Beatles.. that time they decided well. The Beatles wouldn't have had that same wonderful internal balance for 10 years that led them to do what they did.
The Beatles The Beatles 1967-1970

The idea of references to the songs is good, and the reception is very romantic, as it should be. For those who have known these four guys inside and out for thirty years. For those who don’t know them, I don’t think it helps to introduce them properly to their great work. Perhaps you could have been a bit more detailed and less (albeit deliberately) cryptic. Twenty lines for The Beatles 67-70 are a bit few. Still, 4 out of 5 because it’s clear that they’re in your DNA.

Macca has been (and unfortunately still remains) the greatest melodic talent in all of "non-classical" music. I don't think there are any doubts about that. As an eclectic multi-instrumentalist, he has made available to this talent his ability and musical instinct in the best ways, achieving true gems, if not masterpieces, even without great productions and external help. Of course, this is my opinion, and it can be debated. In fact, it must be. Perhaps starting by listing the names of those in so-called light music who have done just as well in terms of quantity and quality. A somewhat hasty review but extremely useful.
