Freddy Krueger... I seriously can't understand you. You're absolutely right when you say you liked the album. I like it too, just as I like "HVIS LYSET TAR OSS" with that "Tomhet" that dominates... but you can't expect to extend your judgment, your values/desires, your tastes (all strictly subjective things) to the rest of the world. If 50% of the users don't like this album because, frankly, they think it sucks, that's their business and you can't get pissed off if they give it a 1. Indeed, there is little to nothing of "Black Metal" here, but only loops of synths and keyboards, "cold" and creepy sounds. The same goes for Quorom, bless their soul, and for those who have evolved (or devolved) their sound from Black. Take Paradise Lost or Anathema. Some prefer the early part of their career, while others, like me, prefer the turning point. I believe I've concluded with that.
Actually, no. Burzum is not an idiot. He's a real piece of shit! A murderer! And a murderer is a real piece of shit, especially because he killed for trivial reasons.
Let's leave it at that.

I found it very beautiful as an album even though, to be honest, it was the first album by the band that I listened to and I can't make comparisons.

I'm responding to NES: yes I can! The review of Slowdive proves it (even if it has a bit of a gloomy tone), and, you know, I also listen to a bit of pop, the old primordial rock (Steppenwolf and company); I really enjoy shoegaze, indie, new age (I love Enya) and... uh... a bit of Italian rock, blues (blues is always blues) and, as the cherry on top, classical music (Amadeus is my jam!). But that would be reductive... I actually span way too much to describe all the genres I listen to. The problem is that I only know and can review rock and metal. If I had to review "La Clemenza di Tito" or "Il flauto magico" by Mozart I’m sure it would turn out to be an utter disaster, so I review what I know how to review. And then... lately I've been quite pissed off with the world. If I had a nuclear weapon at my disposal, I wouldn't hesitate to detonate it to reduce the world's population by three-quarters, leaving the remainder alive only to watch them die slowly and painfully.
This is my current state of mind... but maybe, who knows. If I have the luck to kick the bucket first, you all will be saved.
Life is a wonderful thing... for those who can afford to say it... honestly, the only wonderful thing I can imagine right now would be the afterlife. I believe that hell isn't even remotely comparable to what I'm going through, therefore, even if I ended up in the deepest and most dismal circle, I would still feel at ease and relaxed.
Goodbye dear NES.

Comment number 38 from Mr. Freddy Krueger demonstrates the intellectual poverty of some DeRecensori... Why must they give top scores to the album? Just because 100 other people did?? Personally, I find Kings Of Metal the shittiest album ever composed in the history of heavy metal, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. I have not reviewed it only because there are too many reviews, but if anyone doesn’t mind, I would really like to share my opinion on Kings of Merdal and Gods Of Minkia, for example, which the majority of the press and webzines have hailed. And if jazz is shit music, do yourself a cleansing enema, as it's surely a revitalizing drink. With all due respect to enemas.

@CORNELL: Later in a message I'll tell you about what I had to endure in these 3 months. And all at no cost (to her).
