,òSID: go tell someone like me who has suffered from ulcerative colitis for 4 years (and is still dealing with its symptoms) and let's see if they wouldn't want to go without shitting for over a week when, for 4 fucking years, they were going over 30 times a day. With disastrous consequences on the entire gastrointestinal system... FUCKING DIARRHEA!

I believe everything that could be said sensibly has already been said by Cornell in comment 34. I don't agree with a single syllable of what you've written. I can't understand the reasoning behind the "nationalization" or "typicality" of certain sports that should only be played in (or by) specific countries. The very thought is embarrassing! Football, then, should be an exclusive Brazilian, Argentine, Italian affair, and so on, thereby excluding the national teams that, for one reason or another, aren't up to par. A Senegalese should never play such a sport, nor should an Indian. Basketball (pardon: basket) would be an exclusive privilege of Americans, thus barred to us. Excuse me, but if some kids enjoy rugby and, even more, love playing it, what the hell do you want to happen? It’s simply wonderful to see how a sport, any sport, can bring together players and fans, interested in the same thing, who at that moment feel united and see the barriers that may separate them (religion, politics, etc.) crumble, especially when their national team is on the field. Personally, I’m not a fan of rugby, but you can't discriminate against a sport just because it’s not typically local! And what would be considered typically local? And what wouldn’t? (always regarding sports). Who should play tennis? Volleyball? Swimming? Football? Basketball? Rugby? Golf? Sailing? Horse riding? Well... convinced you.

In my opinion, however, the genre "spaghetti western" is missing.
