I find Bathory much more expressive than Deicide, and the idea that Quorthon was anti-Christian is nonsense; he was just pagan and played at being anti-Christian. The fact is that I am very contradictory in what I listen to and say, and I know that. I simply can't stand Deicide and I detest them. I'm also referring to the words they express in their interviews regarding Catholics and such. Quorthon never said anything like that, never; in fact, he said and repeated that those were "errors of youth." At one point in my life, I listened to a lot of black metal, even satanic; I don't question that. I'm very knowledgeable and well-read on the subject. Emperor, Burzum, Samael... I liked them all. I condemn the themes, not the music. However... Deicide really annoys me... what can I do about it?

Hi Sbillo.
Honestly, I listen to everything, and I mean everything. I deeply hate Deicide; they are criminals (in my opinion). They haven't committed any crime in the strict sense, but they are too blasphemous and idiotic.
I much prefer Bathory (even the early ones, I love them), The Crown, and, anyway, a whole bunch of bands that don't make anti-Christianity their only creed.
Another band to incinerate is Cannibal Corpse.
My opinion.

I don't dispute the reception, but Deicide deserve to be locked up for the rest of their pointless lives. I love this kind of music, but I can't stand them.

I really liked it! However, the ending left me quite perplexed. Do you think they slapped on a last-minute ending due to the writers' strike in the USA? Or do you think Dr. 13, who I care about (she's hot), actually contracted the adinton (is that how it's spelled?); or maybe it's because of the death of Amber aka Bastarda Tagliagole. In short: it's a bit darker and gloomier compared to the other seasons. I preferred her at the beginning when she was making selections, with her sarcasm second to none and that deep bastardliness... then she lost a bit of her spark.
In my opinion, the third season remains the best.

well-done review, it perfectly conveys the idea of the album that I don’t think I will ever buy. I’ve always seen Soulfly as a removed rib from Sepultura, and I’ve always viewed Cavalera Conspiracy as a joke. This album, released just a few months after the previous "2Cavalera..." confirms my thoughts. I don’t question the music. As you say: give him a Brazilian guitar in hand and Max will create chaos. Who knows, though, maybe I’ll give it a listen…
