LUCA REED you can also suck my dick as far as I'm concerned. I think the album is shit and I don't like it at all. Not because it's not up to the level of the previous ones, but because it just sucks, plain and simple! Did you get that or not? If the concept isn't clear to you, FUCK OFF!

In my opinion, though it may be a mistaken one, you welcome Metallica with the heart of a fan who accepts everything. I don't feel betrayed or anything like that. They don't owe me an explanation for what they do, but when they make statements in public and to the press (I remember them saying that St. Anger would sound like an Entombed album), you inevitably expect something that in the end isn't what you wanted and you don't like it.
In terms of Death Magnetic, they didn’t make any bold claims, and you can't accuse them of saying or proclaiming anything other than what I found in the album. The album sounds thrash, but it's a calculated thrash; I don't feel the "heart" that was heard all the way up to the Black Album, where they were truly honest first with themselves and then with the fans.
That said, I’ll add that I didn't particularly like the songs, and they didn't impress me much. Therefore, it's a dismissal regardless of the name on it. If this album had been made by a band that wasn't called Metallica, it wouldn’t even have appeared in reviews; in fact, it wouldn't have found a label at all. Just my opinion.
