Ok bARt! I mentioned them not to bring them up or to compare them, it was an extreme way to say that if this film is rated 5 stars, then I am one of the greatest directors ever! Comparisons or the desire to show that... as I said in comment 53, it's obvious that these are MY opinions, but it's not like one can reiterate that every time... little wolf, at 28 years old my dear, it seems it's time for you to graduate! I hope your field of study isn't cinematography, otherwise we might find ourselves with the new Mollica! And that's enough; stick with what we have.

pataweb, so we're agreed, I misunderstood... why shouldn't genius exist?

pataweb, Burton is a good director (is it clear that this is always my opinion or do I have to repeat it every time?) I don't know any masterpieces by the aforementioned director, but some good and a few excellent films; however, I don't find anything brilliant. As for Salvatores, no comment. If that's a genius, then we need to rethink the history of cinema; he made some nice films (a few) and nothing more.

Little wolf, you’re doing the dams, I guess with pretty miserable results, right?

Talking well about Salvatores means provoking; it's not because the crap from various Moccia and Vanzina exists that we should then glorify little films (because it is one) like this... I repeat, it’s a little film, not crap, it’s half successful and very dated...

1) Burton has never been a genius... 2) Look, I agree with you that "Lost Highways" is perhaps my favorite, but unlike you, I don't exclude the others, because they are an evolution of this. Both "Mul" and "Inland" are not nonsense but travel (in my opinion) through parallel universes. It seems there is no logical thread, but in the end, everything wraps back onto itself. But who said that a film must have a conventional plot and conclusion? (It's like free jazz; when it came out, it seemed unlistenable, now it's more than digestible). 3) It is alphabeT.

one is not enough: "Eraserhead - The Mind That Erases," "Wild at Heart," "Lost Highway," "Mulholland Drive," and maybe "Inland Empire - The Empire of the Mind" (not because I haven't seen it, but I still need to understand it well... there's no debate about the directing in this case...), and then if you can find the 2 shorts: "The Alphabe" and "The Grandmother" excellent (the first lasts about 1 min., the second around 30 min.)
