How much useless chatter, especially you pollé who do but ARE NOT a connoisseur. "ONE of the ONLY two things Kubrick invented," and you say nothing? Then he invented the idea of shooting a "horror" in broad daylight, he renewed or altered various genres. Kubrick is not overrated; he is an unreachable master. Anyone who acts as a detractor can do without talking about cinema. Moreover, "Spartacus" was removed from Kubrick's filmography, so it doesn't count, even though it remains one of the most beautiful and successful historical epics—nothing compared to Ben-Hur. Lolita is not up for debate. And the comparisons with this or that director are truly childish, just like the (shopping) lists of pollé.
