Well, it seems to me that they all came after others that can't even be considered horror, except for Carrie, but I don't think there are particularly vivid lights during the most intense moments.

Thrillers are not the same thing; there aren't any monsters. “Delitto in pieno...” I've seen it and I agree with you, but “Shining” let's say is a horror. It also talks about the supernatural; find me one if you can, but I doubt it.

It was filmed indoors, but can't you see that it always has plenty of light (even the large windows of the hotel let in light)? Don't tell me you don't notice that, apart from the scene in the maze, there are never any dark scenes.
