Purpulan, I'm sorry to contradict you, but I found the film (different) yet better than the book. The book is undoubtedly a good book, but I've read better pages; the film is a masterpiece.

M.Poletti, you know who is boring? You! One thing I don't understand, excuse me but I just don't get it: you put 2001 (a masterpiece in the history of cinema) among the top 5 and it bores you???? For me, if something bores me, I don’t consider it that valid. For example, I find "Il Gattopardo" quite boring (do we want to compare it with 2001 in terms of heaviness?), nice film for sure, but it loses some points because it actually bores me.

when you hear him "philosophizing" about a movie, it's because he has gathered a wealth of critical reviews

Lariana56, it’s true that the chicken watches movies, but unfortunately (for him) he doesn’t understand them.

whoever does it (whoever they are) is making a mistake, you can say if it's more or less faithful, if they've cut or changed parts, but don't compare which is better or worse, this is usually done by people who know little about cinema, how many times have you heard someone say “oh but the book is more beautiful to me, there’s so much more stuff!” but what does that even mean!!!!!

Silver, never liked it, this is the height of foolishness.
David Cronenberg Il Pasto Nudo

Another great film by Cronenberg, beautifully hallucinatory. Kudos for the review, this is how to talk about cinema!

Do you need explanations too? I thought you'd at least get that because a movie is a movie, a book is a book.

M.Poletti my phrase "the greatest comedians of all time, nothing compared to Totò," is certainly debatable and I never said you shouldn't, except for you of course because you can contest everything but you can't say that "Gone with the Wind" is a joke or that "Lost Highways" is a great film. I like Totò too, but it was an exaggeration due to your arrogance about the prince who, by the way (since you follow criticism with drool at the mouth), let me inform you that at the time Totò was considered a fool by the "good" critics.
