Sonny Rollins The Solo Album
Voto:
Great review, I haven't listened to the album in a long time but I don't seem to remember it as a masterpiece, but rather as a very great album; anyway, I could be wrong.
John Scofield En Route
Voto:
Scofield a go-go today, however, unlike Jack's, I don't know this one... As always, the review is noteworthy.
John Scofield Time On My Hands

I completely agree, as always beautiful review.
Jackie McLean Let Freedom Ring

Alfred, I recommend a new listening experience that's heterogeneous in sounds????? Of course, the other two you mentioned are among the most beautiful jazz albums, but you know, Mingus isn't a giant for nothing.

Alfredo, please don’t curse :-D for me, it’s one of the most beautiful albums (from start to finish) in the entire history of jazz, but of course, tastes are tastes. Certainly, Mingus has made many wonderful ones, but to say that this one is heterogeneous is quite a stretch.
Steve Swallow Home

Congratulations on the review, I don't know the record but it seems very interesting to me, Swallow is truly a great bassist.

finally, we're back to talking about music! I’ll open and close a parenthesis right away: if the Count is going at it like a mandrill, good for him. I don’t see why people get so worked up; if it’s not true, oh well, it’s still his problem. Anyway, why do you make me feel so "old," Count? I'm 34. Back to the sound, I think there's no set path to begin in jazz, as Alfredo rightly said. For example, I started with "Ah Um" by Mingus because about 15 years ago I heard "Better Git In Your Soul" on the radio and I went crazy, and since then I haven’t stopped buying jazz. As for Shepp, since he was mentioned, I highly recommend him if you don’t have his stuff because he’s outstanding (and if Dolphy likes Archie’s saxophone on the ballads, all the better). The duo with Mal Waldron (by the way, the last recording before this giant of the piano—too often underestimated—passed away) is "Left Alone Revisited."

Well, Conte, we're on the same level; I'm also around 700-800 (all originals), and Alfredo, I'm also a music fetishist. I wouldn't lend them out even if I died, and of course, they're kept with the utmost respect!
