For me, "Ghost Dog" is Miramar's masterpiece, a film I have watched countless times. It is rich in symbolism, full of humanity (which sounds strange in a film about a killer), entertaining, and not to mention a superb direction and a soundtrack that couldn’t complement the images better... Noticing that you are good at writing and I align closely with your view of cinema, if you feel like it, why don't you write a review (which is missing) of the aforementioned film?

Not a masterpiece, Jarmusch has done better (by the way, is anyone willing to review that masterpiece "Ghost Dog"?) but I can't just condemn it as a piece of trash; there are genuinely funny, surreal, romantic episodes... This film doesn’t aim to prove or change anything (like all films made by people with their heads screwed on) but to be a portrait of people/characters. "No human reality is as banal and obvious as that of the film," but I wouldn’t bet on that.. and I invite you to watch "Warum der Herr R. sich die Haare raufte" by Fassbinder, where throughout the film (except for the end) it really shows you the banal and obvious human reality.
