One thing is certain... rock is dead or rather it lives in other forms unworthy of such a genre like Avril Lavigne, Green Day, and other crappy bands that do everything to be "alternative" but instead are just a bunch of posers...

Oh guys, what the hell are you saying?? Are you or are you not fans of the Smashing Pumpkins??? How can anyone say that Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie aren’t good albums? Either you’re crazy or you don’t like the Smashing.....because in my opinion (and I believe for many others too) Mellon Collie is a gem of rock....have you forgotten about Zero and Bullet with Butterfly Wings?? Siamese Dream is an exceptional album, not as good as Mellon Collie, but it was the one that brought them to success, the beginning of Billy's artistic vein that was then exhausted with Mellon Collie and revisited in The Everlasting Gaze and Stand Inside Your Love, both from Machina. Adore sucks, on Gish the opinion is subjective but I don't think it's to be thrown away like I would do with Adore. As for the new album, I listened to the single: Tarantula. I think it’s a good song worthy of a place on Mellon Collie or Siamese Dream, I like the chorus and the music, the two solos are good, but the lyrics didn’t do a great job; overall, though, I like it. It’s what a fan of the Smashing would have wanted to hear upon their return....Billy is finally back to playing real rock.....I’m hopeful and I expect a good album, it certainly won’t be like Mellon Collie but the single gave me confidence.....anyway, if you’re fans of the Smashing Pumpkins, remember them for what they have done! Bye!
