I don't think I've been presumptuous, and I certainly don't wish for uniformity of ideas. Critiques are welcome; otherwise, I wouldn't have commented on your review. I wrote to have a discussion, precisely for that reason.

sorry what the hell did I do...I put the comment back. it's clear that I'm not an expert on the site. I was away for 2 years after the great battles with easycure whom I greet fondly. by the way easy what happened to you?

You've already responded, damn! It may be a metaphor, but it’s quite inappropriate. It lacks respect not only for the employed engineers, like you, by the way, but especially for the thousands of workers. Nevertheless, mine was also a democratic provocation, but I take this opportunity to make some considerations.
How come you felt the need to review Dream Theater if you can’t stand them? Because, like ravenous dogs, you sense the urge to tear apart those who love or simply appreciate this band? Perhaps because you think only kids listen to them and feel it’s your duty to open their eyes.
It's true that lately they have little to say in the musical field, but one must not forget that in their early years they moved a sector, metal, that was truly in crisis. It's true that many young people have recently approached this band following trends, and it's also true that the new record label is heavily influencing this trend. But you should realize that your nihilistic attitude towards Dream Theater also has an origin, dangerous at least as much as the unnecessary flashy solos of Petrucci (not all of them): it’s called fashion.
And it’s the most dangerous thing, dear Stoner. Your review is absolutely uncritical, and I say this to you sincerely. One can sense the a priori hatred towards certain music, and this is really disappointing, even when reading other comments and inaccuracies that denote your superficiality in listening to great albums like Awake.
I also tell you that when I want to have fun, I come to Debaser to read the anti-Dream Theater reviews, while for a more measured idea I consult elsewhere. The thing is that often when we are given absolute freedom, we bring out the worst in ourselves. I strongly advise you to forget about Dream Theater and to write or comment in a humble manner and remember that in everything and everyone there’s something good; otherwise, you run the risk of being swallowed by a perverse mechanism. Just look at the comments from your followers under this review… (the same attitude as the rabid fans who get excited about a Petrucci solo… as you say. In the end, no one is immune to the mass phenomenon! Not even you in your attempt to destroy it. Bye.

comment on the review! It's a pity about the little smudge regarding the social difference between the engineer inventor and the engineer employee that you then awkwardly tried to remedy... but by then it was too late... Who knows how smart you must be to allow yourself this downgrading of categories, but the review does have some truly original insights... you must have spent entire nights conceiving it. Congratulations! You are a reviewer inventor of a new way to destroy the DTs.
Excuse me, can I ask what job you do?

In addition to the texts, sublime as they are, the music literally gives me chills... in fact, I would say it's one of the most musically intense albums, with a central theme worthy of the best progressive works.

I wonder why, before a new series of DT concerts in Italy, I remembered the heated discussion I had, just before the DT concert at Gods of Metal, with easycure. And honestly, reading some of my posts again, I felt a strange sense of nostalgia, which I usually reserve for the positive events of my life. I take this opportunity to greet the reviewer.
Terrence Malick The New World
Voto:
disappointing film. I expected a lot from Malick, especially after seeing his masterpiece "The Thin Red Line." I think I may have overestimated his talents. In fact, even "Badlands," praised by many, I don't consider a masterpiece. Malick knows how to shoot with the camera but is a bit heavy in his writing.
