Christina Aguilera Stripped
Voto:
"This time dear readers, I will not be discussing Michael Jackson, but rather an artist who is fundamental to Pop music: Christina Aguilera."
If for you Christina Aguilera is FUNDAMENTAL to Pop, you have never listened to ABBA, Elton John, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Cher, Madonna, Björk, M Jackson, and a couple of others that I can't think of right now (even though, among those, M Jackson and another couple, to be honest, I don’t like. However, aside from tastes, one cannot deny that they are the true pillars of pop). If you are referring to the music (?) pop of the last 7-8 years, then I can agree, but today’s music is not pop; it’s just liquid shit. The pop of the late '60s, '70s, and '80s: that was POP. And what Pop!... Not to mention that the very first pop standards, even if still quite far from the genre's benchmarks, were set by the Beatles, who with Sgt. Pepper had already birthed the "Psychedelic Pop" genre, and artists such as Nirvana, U2, Bon Jovi have influenced all those pop, pop-rock, and pop-punk groups of today... Now rethink the numbers, and ask yourself where your Aguilera stands on a hypothetical "list of the most important pop artists"... And anyway, she's really a nice piece of work...

And to those who have BLASPHEMED, saying that De André isn't worth much, they might as well go listen to Tiziano Ferro and Paolo Meneguzzi, because as much true music as they might be able to hear, they will never understand a damn thing.

Vittorio De Sica Ladri Di Biciclette (1948)
Voto:
Vittorio must be turning in his grave knowing what cinematic nonsense his son is making... Bionic Metal, I saw your profile: you’re legendary!..:D
The Who The Who By Numbers

I have been wondering for weeks why there aren’t any 10/10 ratings... an album that is largely a 3, maybe even a 3.5 (I would have given it at least a 7 in tenths)...
Jon Lord Sarabande
Voto:
I don’t know this album, but I love Deep Purple, and then, Ian Paice is my favorite drummer, Ritchie Blackmore my favorite guitarist, and last but not least, Jon Lord my favorite keyboardist!.. I just adore this man here!.. :D

What really pisses me off about these two idiots is that they proclaim themselves as revolutionaries, as "against the current," and so does that other vile being who calls himself Mondo Marcio (he should be called Testa Marcia): Can't you understand that they are just a couple of fags carefully crafted by record labels?? From this perspective, I swear, I prefer Hilary Duff or Rihanna: at least they don't have pretensions of being anyone, they don't proclaim anything and don't claim to be anyone... and with Hilary Duff, Rihanna, and all those tacky pop singers, at least there's something nice to look at!

I always give at least 3 stars to reviews because I want to be nice and I try not to bring anyone down or discourage them, but you rip the insufficiency out of my hands!.. The Articolo 31 already sucked water and blood when they did hip-hop/rap, now that they’ve gone more pop, they make you die of despair, worse than Mariottide!.. :D
Santana Santana III
Voto:
Indeed, Santana from 30-40 years ago was an artist with real guts; he was a guitarist who made history, and back then, he was one of the best with his instrument... and back then he had a real band, not like today where he has his son playing keyboards... his drummer, who died at 19, was one of the most talented percussionists of all time... Giving a 1 to his records from the '60s means you don't understand a thing about music...
Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus

I quote verbatim: "..the debutants Jethro Tull...with a wild Ian Anderson..Stunning too is the harmonica played by guitarist Mick Abrahams." Then we move on to The Who: "..Next up are the possessed Who with the mini rock opera "A Quick One, While He's Away." Roger Daltrey, but especially Keith Moon and Pete Townshend, with his classic swirling arm, ignite the performance to produce, in my opinion, the highlight of the entire record." And continuing: "..Taj Mahal, who gifts us an exciting "Ain't That A Lot Of Love" ..on the dreamy "Something Better" by Marianne Faithfull..we find ourselves in front of a supergroup: The Dirty Mac. John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards (strangely on bass) and Mitch Mitchell from the Jimi Hendrix Experience come together to perform a composition by John taken from the Beatles' White Album, "Yer Blues." It's needless to say that the piece stands solely on the lead guitar of the God, Eric Clapton." And to finish beautifully: "..we start with the single "Jumpin' Jack Flash," before moving on to the parade from Beggars Banquet ("Parachute Woman," "No Expectations," "You Can't Always Get What You Want," "Sympathy For The Devil," "Salt Of The Earth.") It's unnecessary to underline Mick Jagger's unrestrained protagonism...simply rolling." THE CONCLUDING PHRASE, which summarizes your thoughts on this album, is: "A wonderful sonic testimony (the DVD is even more recommended) that brings together some of the major artists of that era. It's Only Rock And Roll Circus" .. In short, the album is SPLENDID in your opinion (and in mine as well), but then... WHY DO YOU GIVE IT 3 STARS??? Give it 5, right!?.. Don't tell me you gave it 3 because Yoko Ono sings too??..indeed, she is the only forgettable part of the album, but taking off 2 stars just for that seems really excessive!..
