Change your mind, change your mind jdv! No jokes aside, the career phase from "Killing Technology" to "Nothingface" is spectacular and undoubtedly the best, but even the first two works, while being extremely raw, have their own 'sick' charm...

Some time ago, I mistook a single from these guys (Fake IT, does it exist?) for a new Metallica song: the singer has a voice too similar to Hetfield; as for the rest, I also remember the cover of Careless Whispers destined to remain in the annals... <as expressive as a white wall> but it works :D

Well, I don’t know, the power-symphonic-gothic trend has never inspired me much, except for rare exceptions (Within Temptation, for example); I actually prefer the Nightwish with Anette rather than with Tarja. I’ve never really been into Epica either, nor After Forever, which was the previous band of the guitarist, if I’m not mistaken... anyway, good job, nice review :-)

I discovered JSS only fairly recently; I have never listened to any of his solo work, but I have enjoyed him in various projects he has participated in: from Malmsteen to Pell, up to the more recent W.E.T., not to mention Talisman (which I have shamefully delved into too late...). I will try to check this out as well.

The vision of the link <rudi e sporchi maschiacci> suddenly triggered a growth block in me and brought tears to my eyes (I don't know whether to laugh or cry... by the way, RIP Scott Columbus). Anyway, I listened to something on YouTube and, I don't know... these bands that are so ostentatiously (is that even a word?) revival always leave me a bit perplexed, regardless of the genre. Good review anyway :)

"But what could be the motive behind all these rekindled flames?" MONEY...cough...cough...ahem...coug h
Anyway: I've only listened to the single that was available before the album release (Salvation, if I'm not mistaken) which made me realize that maybe it's better if I keep the memory of how they were back in the days of "Testimony..."
Spiritual Beggars Return To Zero

Never listened to them, but I could paradoxically start from this, since we're talking about hard rock and classic heavy metal :-)
Comprehensive review, I won't give you a 5 just because that "exception" is really impossible to read ;-).

How did I miss this?!? Great album (I'm torn between whether this is better or the debut): the title track, the semi-ballad "Escape from within," the bass intro of "I live you die"...

actually beautiful cover... them... I would say peculiar, perhaps too much (a piece like Cosmic Tear can have its charm, but Complex 25 is really headache-inducing...)
