How could I not quote you? I've been waiting for years, but there's not even a hint of Italian dates... And anyway, just for the record, I count myself among the "gullible fans": I had noticed that copies of "Evinta" had already arrived at Sound Cave (my trusted store) a few days before the official release, and so, since there were no leaks available to listen to it "in advance," I couldn't resist and rushed to buy it blindly. Needless to say, I would have been better off spending that money on a nice pizza and a good beer at the Abbey. Oh well...

4.5. A bit underrated, probably due to the absence of Anneke... Yet Silje is truly talented and fits perfectly into the dreamy and ethereal atmospheres of this album. Many say that The Gathering without Anneke would never have reached where they are now; well, it's true that the beautiful redhead gave a boost to their career and made them more popular, but the class always and only belongs to The Gathering, and "The West Pole" is proof of that...
