@Ale, I don't think so. The worst thing that could happen was that annoying voice found in some downloaded promos, the one that says "you're listening to the new My Dying Bride album blablabla," but fortunately they didn't include it.. As for everything else, I really don't think it changes anything. However, there is a "strangeness" in FLIS: the last track, Death Triumphant, is 11 minutes long, but the last two minutes (approximately) are silent, there's just silence. Perhaps in the original CD the actual length will be 9 minutes.. Who can tell. In any case, it’s not like it changes anything. @Gasta: finally tomorrow is the big day, huh? ;) I hope for you that you like the album more than we did..! @MonsieurSfasciaLamiere: of course - no! The old "Symphonaire" is a gem, I advise you to hold on tight to your infernal cassette (that I could also [de]review), given the trend of recent years. Although, to be honest, I would recommend giving a fleeting listen to their (in my very humble opinion) best LP from the early years: "Turn Loose the Swans" (1993). Don’t give up! You’ll see that your shattered neuron will be satisfied (at least I hope so). Moribund greetings from 'your' diabolical Hell [UH!].

"But I was taught that if I want to insult or tell someone to go screw themselves, I should do it while looking them in the face; anonymous keyboard aggression is something for the frustrated." .. Even though I've read very little about this commotion, I fully agree with what the Sicilian said, which should apply to all situations. Ciau

Yes, if all goes well (meaning, if it’s not a mess) "Horizons" could become the soundtrack of the infamous graduation. Provided that Anathema don’t decide to postpone the release of the album for the seventieth time..

Thanks to Ale, Anatas, and Telespalla for stopping by. I agree with you, especially when Ale says that "you expect albums like this from normal bands and not from My Dying Bride": this FLIS reeks of clichés, starting from the cover art. The sad part is that it’s My Dying Bride we’re talking about, the ones who brought us the albums mentioned at the beginning of the review... Not just any band. But you can't live on class alone, and I have the feeling that MDB is starting to show signs of fatigue... It may be physiological, okay, but it’s a real shame. You’re right, Beppe: keeping it to the bare minimum, just enough to keep the most die-hard fans at bay; in fact, if you notice, the first reviews popping up around the internet are all overwhelmingly positive, scoring 8 and up, with the usual phrases like "another masterpiece / immortal chapter" – I even came across some that put FLIS on the same level as "The Angel and the Dark River"! Crazy! Some people should learn to be a bit more critical and, above all, to take off those damn metal blinders... Otherwise, I can see why every album becomes an "immortal masterpiece." Just hearing a melancholic piano and some sad guitars makes them cry miracle, like in the case of "Echoes from a Hollow Soul." I don’t know, I struggle to understand. They’re happy, I guess. P.S. For Isis, let’s keep our fingers crossed!
