But last year's EP "The White" promised a lot, so let's keep our fingers crossed... @jurix: in addition to "The Angel.." I would add "Turn Loose the Swans," even though it's different in terms of 'approach,' but still a frightening masterpiece.

Simo, it's almost a given that in the latest Bride you won't find nearly anything from "Songs of Darkness.." or "Turn Loose..", and this certainty becomes glaringly obvious with the listening of "A Chapter in Loathing", which as you told me has been described by some as 'fucking death'. To me, however, it sounded like a fucking consolation prize that the Bride handed out to the more nostalgic fans just to keep them happy, but at least it didn't work on me. You'll judge for yourself. Then it's obvious that other tracks that I didn't like might seem enjoyable to you, like "ShadowHaunt" or "Santuario di Sangue", the latter mysteriously acclaimed - when any song from the previous ALODK would bury it. It's nonetheless out of the question that overall the album is definitely not up to the Bride's standards. On one hand, maybe it’s a good thing that you read the review, so at least you can 'prepare' for some probable disappointment. Check back for the ratings when you have a clearer idea ;))

Hi Fede! Actually, it comes out tomorrow - I hope there won't be any issues with a day's notice - anyway, I don't know how much you might like FLIS if you actually hate ALODK.. I find the latter much better set up, and apart from 2-3 negligible tracks, it’s decent, good, but nothing more... FLIS is a frustrating rollercoaster, there are embarrassingly empty moments, barely suggested atmospheres.. It never really takes off. Let's not even talk about "Santuario di Sangue," which as I already mentioned is 8 minutes of doom riffs without a soul, and the central break with the violin is nothing short of horrible, almost caricature-like. Obviously, it’s a matter of taste; maybe you’ll appreciate it way more than I do and more than those who voted for it a few comments above. Anyway, let me know, alright..! Ciao
