Sure, if we're in this state with Depeche Mode now, I can't even imagine what it'll be like in June with the latest from Dream Theater. Brrr.

As a little trick at the beginning of the week, it’s not bad at all. You've changed my day!

Listened to it again... Already by the second round, it bored me a bit. For heaven's sake, the arrangements are quite substantial, but I don’t know, I wasn’t that enthusiastic about it.

So... Mine may be an extremely exaggerated vote, but I want to compensate for the 1-2 ratings that some have deliberately thrown at the album. To each their own, everyone is free to vote as they please on this site, whether they listen to the proposed music or not. In any case, "Safe Trip Home" was an unexpected listening experience for me. I was certain I would be dealing (not without reason) with the usual ultra-polished, self-serving 'pop.' Instead, no: suspended sounds and, above all, detached (as zzot rightly suggests), stripped-down and essential tracks, the girl's vocal tone warm and magnetic, even if limited and a bit too ethereal. There's no trace of the cheesy, tear-jerking choruses typical of today's pop; everything glides away in an instant, linear and clear. Quiet and subdued. I think that in today's pop music scene, it’s a merit to create an album that sounds so personal and unconditional. It’s nothing innovative or genius, of course, but it's definitely (at least as far as I'm concerned) quite pleasant.

Concise and straightforward as usual, but the proposal is not really in my wheelhouse.

I still have to listen to it properly, but it made a good impression on me. The previous albums, on the other hand, didn’t say much to me; folk metal in general leaves me indifferent.
