I will also try to get "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere." The cover is familiar, and I’m sure I’ve listened to it before, but I don’t remember it. Of the tracks I’ve downloaded from albums of the '80s and '90s that I followed, I’ve been disappointed.

I must admit that for a long time I held prejudices against Young; now I believe that the albums from the first 10 years (the only ones I know) are all quite good. Especially the ones that have already been mentioned: Rust Never Sleeps, After the Gold Rush, Zuma, Harvest.

Damn The Torpedoes is certainly one of Petty's best albums. He produced about 15 CDs, many of which are valuable. If you're looking for the gems, the best way is to download them from emule, maybe copying and pasting the tracks that are indicated by Scaruffi or DelRock.

djmushroom, I chose "Piccola Mela" as an example because I like it and it's the essence of simplicity. Another example of sobriety and harmony is Bellamore. But the list of beautiful songs by De Gregori is long; I’ll mention a few: Rimmel, Leva calcistica della classe 68, Pezzi Di Vetro, Natale, Raggio di sole, Viaggi e Miraggi, Adelante! Adelante! Il bandito e il campione, La donna cannone.

I agree with you on this, djmushroom. I really like De Gregori; songs like "Piccola Mela" and others are simple and beautiful. Complex doesn’t always mean beautiful.
