I haven't seen the film, but as a poet, I don't like it. And I've said it all.

The Company is not bad, but Bollicine remains my favorite. I can't stand the rest.

The boss I was talking about in a comment is Sam Giancana, who started his criminal career as a bodyguard for Al Capone. Giancana certainly claimed that the mafia and the CIA were two sides of the same coin. There's also a rumor that the real assassin of Kennedy is named Johnny Rosselli, another mobster acquainted with both Giancana and Frank Sinatra. I read that Rosselli and Giancana sent their most trusted killer to the hill in Dallas and used Lee Oswald as a decoy. There are many rumors, including that Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA and the Pentagon at the behest of Johnson, then his vice president, who later took over. So many rumors and no certainties. The manipulation of evidence that followed the assassination will never allow us to know what the truth is with certainty.

I agree with that. Martin Scorsese has also curated a series of CDs on the blues that I recommend; among other things, there's also an album on Muddy Waters if I remember correctly.

He made Renzo Arbore listen to it on L'altra Domenica. Hi mien_mo_man, did you receive the answer?

donjunio, I'm not an expert on Cold War issues. I've only seen a couple of documentaries on the Cuban Missile Crisis, and a thousand times, inquiries into the assassination of Kennedy. In my opinion, the truth may never be known. It's even said that Kennedy won by the narrowest of margins against Nixon because Sinatra (who was tied to the mafia) helped him secure the decisive votes from a boss who could sway many voters. However, considering what happened after the assassination... evidence tampering, witness killings, etc. It could only have been carried out by an organization with real power within the state. Just my personal opinion, of course.

easycure, I tried to be concise. I don’t like lengthy comments. It's true, the nuclear installations were an idea of the Russians. They wanted to show strength but, more than anything, turn Cuba into their fiefdom, (with the missiles) just a few kilometers from Florida. Donjunio, I believe that anyone who had been president would have tried to safeguard national interests... even assassinating the African communist leader Lumumba. I also believe that there isn’t much difference between Republicans and Democrats in the United States. Once I read an interview with an American writer, (I don't remember who it was) but I remember he said: in America, there’s only one party. Bye.

mien_mo_man I read the whole message and I even replied to you. I read "On the Road" and "Doctor Sax" by Kerouac, which I left halfway through because I found it boring. For "The Dharma Bums," you're certainly referring to "I vagabondi del Dharma," which my friend really liked, the same one who introduced me to the artists of the beat generation. Anyway, thanks for the explanation.

Never seen or heard of it. I must say I miss a bit the reviews you used to do of unknown but beautiful films.

The reviewed album is regarded as the best by many music critics. But of Waist, I only know Blue Valentine, which I appreciate halfway. I've already started downloading the titles you mentioned.
