The Beatles The White Album

THE GREEN, the Beatles had better songs in the drawer to replace the ones you mentioned... Hey Jude, just to name one. Regarding their choice of tracks, the Beatles have always had quirks that still remain difficult to understand today.

The row of perfectly aligned signs, with the exception of that one crooked one, I won't let you pass it... not in Italy, maybe in Switzerland. Here, the only thing crooked that still doesn't belong to normality is the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Enbar, they will always invent laws to protect the ruling classes since they themselves are the ones legislating. However, if absurdly only 5% of voters remained, there would be such a dramatic social situation that one could think that the information of power is absolutely powerless and sterile, no longer suitable for the manipulation of the plebs. In that case, a ruthless dictator would emerge, whether one likes it or not, not a prime minister.

ENBAR77, politics makes sense if the fighting social classes recognize themselves in their belonging class. If you think about it, it doesn’t make sense to see me and DellaValle (just to name one) united in a struggle under the same banner. No matter how much I may consider a great capitalist to be likable and intelligent, our priorities and goals are and will always be divergent. It may seem like a casual observation, but it is the heart of the matter. You see politics as disgusting and disappointing, but you don’t ask yourself which politics you are talking about… or maybe you do, but in that case, it seems strange that you give room to your distrust. What I mean is that we experience politics as a kind of sports fandom, where both sides facing each other consist of social classes of all types (high, middle, and low); it’s a glaring contradiction. It’s not a lack of intelligence on the part of voters; it’s a lack of consciousness that effectively lowers the level of understanding to the borders of stupidity. If you consider yourself a "conscious" communist, you are fortunate, believe me; if you see it as a misfortune of destiny, you haven’t understood politics yet.

I, of course, reflect as an average user...

DeLorenzo@, questioning how confident we are that things will not change for the better with the League is an intriguing question. Personally, I believe that with federalism it will be a disaster; the entities for regional decision-making procedures will increase, leading to an embarrassing rigidity. If Italy is slow today, it will probably be even worse with federalism... not to mention that expenses will be exponential. The idea that with federalism the north can finally manage its own wealth without the "pappone" from the south is not as resolutive as the League sounds and sings. Moreover, money does not have regional borders; investments made by the mafia in the north have deep roots now. The illusion that the north will become a happy island of wealthy people without Islamic beduins, where all the natives will be happy to work and produce for Brambilla's company of the moment... seems to me just an ideological reality.

Pannzzoone, I allow you to judge my comment as you see fit... use the K if you find it nice, but if you want some advice, try using your brain; it's rounder and fits better the shape of the C.

Pannzzone is right, we all have to respect the rules of society, debts and school fees must be paid without trying to be clever... and if we commit a serious crime, we have to face trial, period. If by chance we become prime ministers (you never know in life) and swear to uphold the constitution in front of millions of Italians, then we have to do it... for crying out loud!! All decent people behave like that... or not?

Stoney.. with "being determined and pragmatic," in the case of the Lega, I meant that one can engage in demagogy by giving the impression that things can be resolved simply, without paralyzing good-heartedness and without getting lost in the tedious "philosophical" discussions like the left does. I'm speaking, of course, from the perspective of a certain electorate ideologized by coarse and generic information.. but I don't think this way.

In a time of industrial economic recession like today, it seems normal that the right knows how to showcase ideological propaganda in tune with people's fears (...and I'm referring a bit to what Stoney rightly said above). Mass immigration, job scarcity, rising social tension, etc.—all warning signs where a decisive party is needed, one that addresses issues without too much intellectual chatter, as the "left" has often done. History merely reflects, in a more current form, what happened during the Great Depression of the 1930s: a demand for order... and why not, some racial laws. All we're missing is the approach of World War III... but calm down, there’s a crisis, but we are not yet on the verge of a collapse of global imperialisms. As long as Berlusconi is seen searching for his fifteenth super villa worth 400 million euros, we need to remain optimistic.
