Sorry Fidia and Pretazzo, let's take John Ford's films; they have been a great example of high cinematic school... however, a few years later, other directors explained to us the true history of American colonialism, better analyzing the issue of Indians and cowboys and the cruel treatment that the Native Americans received... well, at this point don't you think we should reflect on those hateful pages of history (while appreciating the cinematic art)? Because otherwise, we fall into the usual red vs. black confrontation? Or do we even see a rally by Diliberto? Come on.

Travis is an outcast in every sense, both from the "clean" society (represented by the woman who rejected him) and from the "dirty" one (the rotten underbelly of the decaying city) where he is forced to live. This painful solitude will turn him into a paranoid vigilante, as a Vietnam war veteran he can also put into practice the only things that righteous America has taught him: SHOOTING. The obsession with eliminating the filth, hiding from our eyes the waste we produce, and thus removing the bothersome dirt with violence is typical in Western societies. Deep down, he is imbued with these reactionary ideologies, latent until they explode... and when they do, you find the cowardly and obtuse society surprisingly on your side. I interpret that film this way.

Having a sense of inferiority doesn't mean being inferior; as a guitarist, he definitely was, and George admired Slowhand.. besides feeling a notch below, but Harrison wrote beautiful pieces like "Something," "Here Comes the Sun," "Taxman," "Beware of Darkness," "Isn't It a Pity," "All Things Must Pass," "Old Brown Shoe," "Horse to the Water," "Long, Long, Long," and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Clapton also tried to do "lighter" things from his blues background, but without the same inclination and never with the same quality. If everyone knows how to do what they feel very well, they should walk tall.. and then believe me, George probably didn't feel inferior at all.. I put a bit of irony on Patty and Eric's "guitar," didn’t you get it @c'è?

Nice discovery TheCraziness, even kids know that with the handle Eric knew how to do it better than George... just think that even Patty Harrison figured it out, someone who didn’t understand a damn thing about music.

The version of "While My Guitar.." on Love makes me think that Clapton's presence in the original version is superfluous. George suffered from an unjustified sense of inferiority towards his friend Eric, who, among other things, slept with his wife.. you can't trust friends.

We too in the cities live on sewer platforms beneath a toxic sky and in a sea of shit(for life). Is that why Mick Jones's idea appealed to us so much? Great review.
