He stands guard with a pitchfork, ensuring that no one leads his wife into temptation… she, repressed and in withdrawal crisis, still hopes that sooner or later a real cowboy will come to abduct her and free the wild slut from her frail body. Naturally, the scene lends itself to other more refined interpretations.

HOLDSWORTH@, I don't know if you were referring to the physical execution, but those wax works that look so realistic are not by Cattelan, they are produced by very skilled artisans; he doesn't even know how to mold play dough.. Cattelan only uses the phone.

...thinking about it, it's a great idea for decorating the ancient pine tree in my garden at Christmas, with lots of little angels hanging by their necks.

Punisher, because we are assholes... did someone happen to spend a million euros to buy the pope hit by a meteorite?

Cattelan the artist is a great joke that has worked incredibly well; there is no Cattelan the artist. His tools are the telephone, the appropriate use of media channels, the collaboration with skilled artisans, willing workers, and the servile support of gallery owners in search of fragrant money. This is the real provocation, not his "works."
Egon Schiele Seduto Maschio Nudo

Excellent observation contemplation@, the fingers in Schiele's paintings are often prominent, rigid, and geometric. In the way he treated hands, he had something in common with Klimt.

THE GREEN..the guitar is wrong to emphasize his social discomfort even more.

puntinicazpuntin, a painting is like a record, it's a product.. you don't see Leonardo or Picasso painting "live," you see what they created long before.. exactly like a record where you don't see the preparation behind the work, the comparison stands... anyway, if you don't give a damn about any drawing on earth, you can be sure that no one cares either.

Lupin@, if you understand that this is a little drawing (and it's true) it tricks you about where it's displayed. However, you are also right, to admire Leonardo or Picasso you have to enter a museum who knows where, a good record you can enjoy quietly at home.

Lupin@, talking about visual art is a good thing, it's just that, being less exposed to subjective opinions, the conflicting ones are reduced... making it less rich in useless chatter, which is not very appealing.
