Lenny Kravitz Let Love Rule

Nice album, overshadowed by its successor "Mama Said," which in my opinion remains his best record.

That Absolution is inferior to the first two albums is a fried and refried tarantella... just like the one that always sees an artist's early works as the best: a stunningly simplistic generalization (this is one of those cases). And enough with these comparisons to twentieth-century albums; there are "classics" of the past and "classics" of the present. The Velvet Underground & Nico was never a "classic" in the decade it was conceived.

The first two songs are enough to sink it immediately.

Just back from the concert at the auditorium in Rome. I've been reevaluating the latest album by Sigur Ros for a few days now. As someone has already written, it’s disorienting at first, but then you start to appreciate it. PS: if you feel indifferent about the music of Sigur Ros, it's because you're amorphous inside.

This folk/country rock seems a bit too light, especially considering we're at the dawn of hard rock. De gustibus
Paul McCartney Band On The Run

The masterpiece by the Wings... but despite two legendary figures like Lennon and McCartney, the best solo album by a Beatle was George Harrison's: All Things Must Pass.

I completely agree with you about the latest work of Sigur Rós. As far as I'm concerned, Takk is their best work... calling it underrated is an understatement. Ágætis byrjun and () are untouchable, even though the latter gets lost in prolixity.

Pleasantly light 3.5

Really a nice turn. Melody is not always synonymous with "selling out."
