Copying and then creating magnificent pieces doesn’t change the fact that you copied due to an embarrassing lack of compositional originality.

And anyway, the best album of '67 in my opinion is The Velvet Underground & Nico, followed by Are You Experienced ;)

I start from a specific point: everything is disputable ;)
Anyway, we're talking about great albums, there's no doubt about that.

In fact, as an experiment, the Pink Floyd album is superior to the others, but in my opinion, if we take the songs individually, they don't reach the levels of other artists. PS: for me, Venus In Furs is one of the great masterpieces of '67. Tastes.

Syd Barrett's compositions (melody) are fundamentally nursery rhymes (I'm not talking about the sound). In short, to make a long story short, in the early Pink Floyd there aren't, for example, pieces on the level of The End or Venus In Furs... it's more the music that stands out compared to the song itself.

You are right, DeBeer, and in this respect (that everyone is revolutionary in their own way) it is certainly not inferior. It is inferior, in my opinion, in the balance between experimentation and composition that instead resides in the other albums. Let's say that Syd Barrett ventured very far in exploring new worlds with the sound while paying little attention to the compositions. And that doesn't mean it's a flaw...
