I bought the first version of the Game Boy, I mean the first version, at the end of 1990. I still have it, and it works LIKE A CHARM. Two games left a mark on me: Metroid II, an undisputed and unreachable masterpiece, and anyone who says otherwise should disappear, and Warioland, for me the best platformer of the past, present, and future. But that one wasn't mine, I borrowed it. Every time I thought about the Game Boy, I felt a pang of nostalgia because I knew I wouldn't be able to play it ever again. Last year, I found it on eBay; they were practically giving it away. At least once a year or so, and with about 20 years more than I had when I was in elementary school, I bought 14 packs of AA batteries and powered up the old clunker. These are emotions, nothing compared to Pokémon.
