I really liked it.. As you said, nothing particularly original, but everything works quite well.. They took (better, the film is inspired by...) "The Colour Out Of The Space," "Stalker," and "The Thing" and delivered a good sci-fi movie, with a decent pace, a good narrative structure, and captivating visual effects.. Nothing groundbreaking, but a luxury for the average of the 2010s.. I heard it's the first chapter of a trilogy, but the film is still quite "self-contained" and doesn't leave much hanging.. Well done, Garland..

It feels more like a study of atmospheres than a film... Full of quotes, glossy with its neon lights, miserly in spectacle but fascinating in its portrayal of an urban future that draws heavily from the SF imagination of... always. Characters designed to be all or almost all borderline sons of bitches, but in the end they seem like caricatures of clichés just thrown in... Very good actors, especially Paul Rudd... However, the story is lacking; rather, it’s over two hours of a film that delights us with stunning images, with an extremely slow development that ultimately leaves you thinking, "So what?" Almost pathetic is the persistent and approximate attempt to justify the appearance of this film with the universe of the extraordinary "Moon"...

Now I want the movie about the Catholic Irish superhero, the Bangla, the Marielito, the Frijolero, the yellow guy, and the China... Otherwise, it's just not right... Tell me they are all in production, please rips.

The true reactionaries are those still convinced that the rapper attitude is something serious and don’t understand that normal people, with contempt for YouTube rappers and Cattelan, just wash their balls with it.

Either you didn't understand a damn thing about the screenplay and the film's adaptation (considering that the female characters play a CENTRAL role in the story...), or you're gently pulling our leg... For this time, I'd prefer to consider the second hypothesis, because you're a woman, therefore weaker than the boys, and you should be home cooking for the kids instead of writing reviews on films for Maskhi... Terrible review anyway...
Roland Emmerich Independence Day: Resurgence
Voto:
The first one was and is nonsense, but it made an impression when it came out, especially because an alien invasion had never been depicted so spectacularly. The special effects were not only highly effective but also delightfully practical and old school. Independence Day Resurgence doesn’t even have this bonus. A boring roller coaster for kids, with useless characters and a predictable script. A kind of high-budget b-movie that, rightly so, was also panned at the box office. Farewell to the ID4 franchise.
Rambling and too long review.

I remember it with pleasure: ironic, overblown, ignorant, at times parodic and almost irreverent.. I’ve never understood how they expected to take down beasts as big as giraffes or thereabouts by shooting at them with MGs, but there it is.. Almost feel like watching it again, especially since I've always had a soft spot for the (very talented) Dina Meyer..
Morten Tyldum Passengers

A rather anonymous film, I appreciated it mostly for its conceptual aspects and design, which was really well thought out both in the interiors and in the ship's concept itself. The basic idea could have sparked more interesting insights, but everything boils down to a sort of interstellar "Blue Lagoon," excruciatingly boring with predictable "twists" and an obvious ending. The actors did a great job, even though I find the splendid Jennifer Lawrence extremely unpleasant.

Inexplicably, over the years, I've rekindled my passion for Star Trek starting with the 2009 reboot (which, by the way, I only watched three or four years ago...). I've also discovered a newfound appreciation for props and practical effects, so I've found all the old films in the saga (up to 1996) enjoyable and relaxing, despite their objective limitations. I’ve come to realize that the very aesthetics of the Federation starships captivate me, so I found the films of the new reboot trilogy quite enjoyable. That said, this is the weakest of the three, not only because the characters are poorly utilized and the villain is inconsistent, but also because the fun is lacking. So, I agree with your clear analysis. I read somewhere that the next episode will even be handled by Tarantino and the screenwriter of "The Revenant"... Who knows...
