Song 2 is really bad...

Personally, I find it an absolutely dreadful movie. It’s clichéd, heavy, poorly shot and worse acted. The story rests on disarming stereotypes, and the dark atmosphere always struck me as stale and trivial, right from a bad film. And yet the first time I saw it, I thought, "not bad." I also didn’t like the review; except for the part regarding the on-set incident, which has always made me a bit suspicious to tell the truth, the rest is a bit too flashy and mediocre.
However, I always appreciate the scene where he shoots the rings with the shotgun and blows up the store.
Poor Brandon.

The beautiful thing is the dialogues.. Even here Tarantino showed what he could do.. The best of all, in my opinion, is Buscemi with Keitel close behind.. I prefer Madsen in Kill Bill.. De gustibus

Dear Mauro, you are wrong to say that prog rock died in 1974: it's more alive than ever. The death will come three years later (or two for some), but here we are still in full light, thank God. The review is a bit like that, but you've made a great choice. I find this album to be the best of the trilogy opened by Lark's, and one of the best by the King, perhaps my favorite. Also because it is recorded impeccably and played even better. An album that has set a standard for many and continues to do so, expressing extraordinary foresight in its creativity. This is music (and not by chance it's prog…). I give you four because you chose this masterpiece as a debut.

I must have repeated the phrase "successful film" at least four or five times :-P

I don't think it's a matter of coming up with directorial tricks. As far as the screenplay is concerned, the blame, if anything, lies with the screenwriter (who might also be the director, but that's that...). It's a lean and straightforward film, rather rough around the edges, and no one is claiming it's a masterpiece. It's simply well-made and engaging, which unfortunately is quite rare these days. Let's also remember that Verhoeven is the director of "Total Recall," another film that is undoubtedly very well done and rightly famous.
Phil Collins ...But Seriously

Well, poor Mike, it's not true that he hasn't made significant contributions... Perhaps on his own he's done some rather tiresome things (his debut "Your Own Special Way" is quite forgettable), but let's not forget that he churned out pieces like The Cinema Show and large parts of The Lamb, not to mention his extraordinary and unfortunately brief collaboration with Ant Philips and his creativity on the 12-string guitar... Anyway, what is most shocking, as you pointed out, is Tony's journey, a depressing involution of the true demiurge of Genesis... It's a shame, because both Tony's and Mike's debut solo albums are excellent works...

Indeed, you can give it to Ligabue.. As for Vasco, I wouldn’t know; I just can’t respect him, precisely because of the initial and true image he has given of himself.. He could have retired gracefully years ago, but oh well.. However, it must be said that many people have believed and still believe in him, and ultimately, at the very end of the end, better him than the little turds of pop-italian or spaghetti rap, in my opinion.. And in any case, Jovanotti and Pelù on the pillory..

You rightly cite the excellent work of Giammetti, from which, however, I have formed a rather different impression. It seems to me that it is repeated several times throughout the biography that it is wrong to consider the 1980s Genesis as a mere offshoot of Collins or that they were somehow following his dictation. The influences of Mike + The Mechanics are quite evident, as well as those of Banks, who, after his solo debut, has definitely declined. If we take glaring examples like "No Reply At All," with its clichéd horn arrangement, then it becomes clear that here the Collinsian canons are predominant. I would say, however, that the light turn occurred due to a blend of collective artistic impulses from the three of them, and from this, it follows that the good songs of Genesis in the 80s are all group efforts that bear no resemblance to their respective solo works. In short, perhaps Collins is blamed because during those same years he was everywhere – in the charts, on TV, and even in the movies.

I've never even seen the video game, and I've never watched any of the sequels to this film. You seem a bit uncharitable; the film itself has many good moments. The fact that it has been commercially exploited belongs to the usual mechanisms of marketing... I believe Bartle is right because, in fact, someone like Casper Van Dien cannot be defined as an actor... Obviously, the film was created under the aegis of a certain Hollywood gigantism, but I still find it well done.
