I saw it too many years ago, I don't even remember what impressed me.. I should dig it up. The review, all in all, I like, because it gives a clear idea of the film and is well written.. I remember the rather dull sequel "Escape from L.A." which, although it was crucified by just about everyone, I’ve never disliked.. Carpenter remains a great figure, perhaps afflicted by many stylistic falls but nonetheless legendary.. What I like most about him is "The Thing," which I think came out a year after this.. Excuse me, but is Hawk played by Lee "Sentenza" Van Cleef by any chance? Now that’s a real western face..

Irritating and smug as always, Mr. Poletti's comment does contain, to be fair, an undeniable truth: Spielberg indeed started with a bang, and he is behind some (at least two) of the most beautiful films of all time (I won't name them). I don’t like the review because it’s too discursive, filled with unnecessary rhetorical flourishes, repetitive and childish... Of course, it’s full of enthusiasm, which is a point in its favor... The second film is certainly pleasant and very intelligent, but it has never thrilled me...

It seems to me like some kind of ad.. If that's the case, it just makes you want to find them, block them, and eliminate them to avoid delivering more atrocities to the world.. Did you really write it together? I didn't think such small brains existed..
