A wonderful album, perhaps technically and compositionally the best of Genesis (but A Trick Of The Tail is right there...); less effective in terms of sound and production, it still contains tracks that come close to perfection. Hackett's greater influence is extraordinary, but it's a shame the fairy tale ends almost immediately. In any case, I believe Steve on his own will only be able to partially replicate that success; it’s paradoxical that musically he had an absurd chemistry with Banks, who he personally found quite annoying.

In Brussels, you find Smurfs everywhere, even on toilet paper... And coincidentally, the one featured prominently is always Smurfette, portrayed in this film with a shamelessly provocative look... Maybe too much Smurfing made her like this; after all, she’s the only outlet in the mushroom village... I prefer to remember the Smurfs in the dear old faded cartoons...
