look, I really don’t know anything about politics and I distance myself from any movement...

absolutely sure, but I also know that it can be misunderstood.

without any pretense of being Anunziana, Leopardiana, Goethiana or anything else

Look Iride, you can think what you want... I was only insisting on the fact that if you didn’t like the language and imagery of this review, it will be hard for you to enjoy the album or even the entire genre...

If you want lux, go read my review on Virgin Black and tell me if the language used is more appropriate. And remember that if the criticisms are expressed in a respectful and intelligent manner, I will always respect them...

@ lux: there are different ways of approaching things. I have never sought originality in art, but emotion, something that reflects my way of being, of living, and my feelings... if this aspect is also combined with a dose of originality, so much the better, but it is not a priority for me. @alessioIRIDE: don't take it personally because it's really not the case. I appreciate very few HIM songs (if you want, I can list them for you) and I didn't like the review because it delved into areas that had nothing to do with the album... and it did so with a bit of adolescent arrogance, if I may say so, since, for example, a type of music that can be linked to those aspects of literature mentioned by Ashanti (I think that's what she was called, the one who reviewed it) is precisely the one that Mementomori talked about (excellently)... and don't keep reiterating the criticisms that were directed at me in that moment because they are really heavy and out of place...

@ lux: how nice to reduce everything to two simple categories: original or not original! instead of describing the content and doing it with a relevant cultural background, is that just for show?

I've never listened to the Minutemen. But I don't see the relevance to the topic we're discussing, given that they are punk rock.

So, theknife, if you don't like the language of the review, if you don't feel it's your own, you won't like the album either... you will never love My Dying Bride and you will never feel the urge to discover Virgin Black... let's not beat around the bush.
