Giovanni Allevi No Concept
Voto:
The keys number 88, but the notes, including the sharps and flats, are 12. Aside from this, great review. Unfortunately, in this review, as usual, there are the same old anonymous detractors who prefer to label even the young, authentic, and spontaneous talents as commercial garbage rather than recognizing their merits. Allevi is an excellent pianist, even though I hate the label of the new Mozart. Anyway, his style is more classical than jazz; a truly great forgotten jazz pianist who played with all his soul was Luca Flores. Perhaps now he will be talked about more because a film about his (sad) story is in the works. Anyway, I highly recommend everyone who loves the piano and great pianists to listen to "for those I never knew."
AA.VV. 2001: A Space Odyssey (Original Soundtrack)

I'm alone, in front of the screen. The words, filtered through a primordial hyper-sensitive glow, sneak in between my synapses, seemingly as vital as a Friday's last-hour Greek class... the effort to reach knowledge is great, but never as much as that needed to find subjects, predicates, and complements in every sentence... in the end, I come to a conclusion: I didn’t understand a damn thing.
George Lucas Star Wars
Voto:
No, Poletti, we don’t agree. Perhaps Star Wars isn’t characterized by that innovative genius and futuristic vibe that you like so much, like Metropolis by Lang or The Battleship Potemkin or even 2001: A Space Odyssey, but you can't dismiss it like that. In my opinion, a great film must have a smooth, engaging plot, and Star Wars ticks that box. Unforgettable characters that are excellently developed? They’re there. If it doesn’t amaze, at least it has formal correctness, and the direction is impeccable. There’s no need to praise the merits of the special effects... Add to these characteristics (all of which are satisfied) references to fundamental themes (the good vs. evil dichotomy revisited here in a sci-fi key), the perfect transposition of fantasy themes and ancient cultures (Jedi = Samurai) in an ultra-modern context, and you have a great film — Star Wars, indeed. Often, quality and success go hand in hand, but you frequently seem to ignore this, falling into the typical mistake of many arrogant critics. I didn’t hesitate to give 5 to films like Seven Samurai, various Kubrick works, and 4: The Power, but if I have to choose a film that truly excites me, that transmits great emotions, I choose this one and all its sequels. And screw Eisenstein's analog editing. Poletti, you remind me of that sad figure of the executive, passionate about atrocious films, who ends up "lynched" in Fantozzi 2. I don’t mean to exalt Giovannona Coscialunga or other crap at the expense of films that are nevertheless respectable, but Star Wars surpasses so much of the officially celebrated filmography with the status of masterpiece. To conclude, the review wouldn’t even be badly written, but being in total disagreement, I give it a 1. You might say it’s a vote given lightly; that’s correct. With the same lightness and impulsivity with which you gave a 1 to the film. I have one lingering doubt. Why didn’t you follow Mereghitti's ideas this time?

No way.. Morandini is a pretentious absolute fool.

Rightly so.. this preventive excusatio has made me lose the desire to reread what Mereghetti said about this film.. I will let the sacred text rest on its chryselephantine lectern until the next review..

Ozu may be better at describing certain social themes, but The Seven Samurai fully deserves its status as a masterpiece. Hey Poletti, you’re as didactic as ever, but this rigor when it comes to cinema, as opposed to music, appeals to me. Now I’m going to see if I haven’t copied too much from our Lord Mereghetti. :-D
Guns N' Roses Live Era '87 - '93

I don't have time now... anyway, there are so many inaccuracies to correct in the review... first of all the syntax... don't cry grammar... the intro is an awful sentence... the album is alive, wild, pure as it should be... the voice is definitely more authentic than in the studio and Slash truly sounds like a god... Sweet Child O' Mine is played perfectly and even much faster than on the album... great live performance... and these are the historical tracks, it's an anthology, I know very well that they are over now, but let's hold tight to the glorious past...

Okay… anyway, dare a dire che Nicole Kidman isn’t hot and I’ll throw the mereghetti at you… or alternatively, I’ll make you end up like the baby carriage from Battleship Potemkin (or however the hell it’s spelled…).

Absolutely right Iside, but if I feel like wasting some time, there's nothing better than "discussing" with the venerable master Poletti..

No dear Poletti, I haven't read a single line... I happened to catch a glimpse of the half line where you suggested those who adore pussy should avoid Kubrick and focus on the doctors/policewomen/professors/whor e... I wanted to remind you of the dear Nicole... Anyway, it was a joking comment, I apologize if I don’t experience everything with your usual fervor... What year are you from? Your attitude raises the suspicion that in that fortunate year of our Lord, the newborns were devoid of irony... A little effort Poletti, a bit of sense of humor often proves to be more enjoyable than a thousand pieces of easily obtainable news or sentences from the most sacred Mereghetti...
