Radiohead have officially become uncomfortable. With this latest brilliant move, it's very, very hard not to speak highly of them. And here come the contrarians who have found something to chew on with their hot takes: 'It was about time someone woke up' - 'They’re multi-billionaires' - 'They haven't lost money with this move.' Too bad, now it will be harder to focus on the music. The album is just as I expected; they tried everything and this was the album they had to make, and they did. A very 'played' album, more folk than the others, with appropriate nods to the glorious past and the forthcoming future. Extraordinary voice as always, and for once, the work feels like that of a band, not just the usual, omnipresent Yorke. High quality, great songs, no particular innovation. That's enough: welcome back.
