I'm not thrilled with the approach taken in the review; I found it to be a bit awkward, yet well written. I think everything that can be said about the album has already been said... the works with Bubola are minor episodes in Faber's songbook, but as we know, even in Fabrizio's worst work, there’s always something good.

Pleasant. In my opinion, more words should have been spent on Spector's work, which in my view is the only element that saved the group from being dispensable. The producer's influence is still noticeable in today's music... if you don't know him, try his Christmas compilation, which is very representative.

In the review, everything that needs to be known is written, I would say. It’s not necessary to publish three-page sermons to give an idea of the product; I’m always in favor of saying a lot in a little space. As for the album, I don’t know. I’ve never gone beyond Grace, which I think is an excellent album, especially as a debut, but Jeff is no longer here, and it doesn’t seem right to chase fragments of a career that will never see the light.

thank you all for the warm welcome, especially to Giustino and Al Cappio! It’s true, the early kinks were more rock-oriented than anything else, but in the already mentioned tracks we certainly get a taste of the band’s pop soul that would solidify later on. anyway, great... worth rediscovering.
