Yes, I agree with your argument. I emphasized the fact that there are people, quite a few, who categorically label a product based on its genre or who knows what else, without even analyzing it. This might be acceptable when you're talking, I don't know, about Tokio Hotel. But when the latest prog rock fan comes along to throw dirt on the entire punk movement... that's their problem, for sure! However, many times, it's less about taste and more about self-imposed limits.
