Laura Pausini Io Canto
Voto:
I would have expected more creativity in Laura's arrangements and interpretations; instead, she neither adds nor takes away anything, and perhaps she actually detracts for those who are familiar with the authors of the songs and their versions. The production was partly done in America and partly in Italy, but given the result, I don't believe it was necessary to go across the ocean to disturb V. Collaiuta on drums…sure, Vinnie must have made quite a bit of money… but then why not let Italian musicians, who are also great, earn easy money? Well… apart from "Io Canto," the other productions don't say anything to me, including those by Celso Valli, who signed the production of "Io Canto." And yet, after the concert in Paris, where the artist has matured a lot, I was hoping for something more…strange, very strange; it's as if she has gone backward!!!! So I can comment on the review by saying that it is certainly written by a fan of Laura, but a fan who is perhaps used to loving Laura's old albums and not the Rock'n'roll Pausini of today (which, in my opinion, is much better)!!!!
Elisa Soundtrack '96-'06

I can't understand why the piece written by Ligabue is referred to as "Ovvio inedito" (obviously unpublished); perhaps we are still too tied to comparisons with pseudo-complicated and anachronistic songs to judge a song's quality properly... I believe the product by Elisa is... a Miracle, for how she has managed to mediate between quality and quantity in such a lasting way! I find Ligabue's lyrics Fresh, despite talking about the usual "Love," and they are imbued with a very deep meaning! There's an important message for understanding what a mature way of looking at a new romantic relationship could be! So well done Elisa, keep following quality as much as you can! Regarding money... money is always needed, especially for a record label, which has to make a profit; otherwise, goodbye Elisa... and many others. It is up to the fans to decide whether to buy it or not! I also believe that the content of a CD should always be listened to before commenting on it; it’s a matter of respect for the listeners! It’s right to do politics, but let’s try to do it in other places!
