Aside from cinematic discussions, one could say that overall this film is much more than decent, (despite having several dead moments halfway through) Albanese creates an exaggerated and distorted depiction of a country of horrors, and it even makes you laugh. Many jokes feel predictable, but rarely do they carry a merely television-like aftertaste, in my opinion. The character Cetto La Qualunque, who lives in a disgustingly kitsch house, fishes with hand grenades, and practices shooting at silhouettes of African natives, is a parody of the Italian who these days talks about "stop to preventive checks," "stop to the rule of suspicion" when discussing concepts related to legality. In this regard, he captures it fully; who cares if it’s commercial (even better).

definitely encyclopedic, but incredibly interesting. Chiasmatic Slide had been a personal obsession of mine for a long time, as I couldn't find it online (ironically, it's funny that a troglodyte like me could become passionate about music like this) and I really wanted to hear it. One day, they played it at FNAC (and it wasn't 1997!) and I immediately recognized them, but I didn’t think it was this one. I got it, and I must say it’s truly a great album, partly for the reasons you mentioned and that I've always maintained: electronic music is definitely a "free" field, as it allows for creativity beyond the "analog" constraints of human performance capabilities. Needless to say, this is a perfect example of that, intricately noisy, but also decidedly elegant and "ahead."

A review that seems like one of those "internal" ones from the record label, which in the end seems to say everything, but says nothing. Never heard them, and I don't think I will, if only for the cover. However, I happened to mention Ministry to people who thought I was talking about these guys..

I found it all very interesting, on the contrary. The ending was beautiful. I watched the film at a screening some time ago; I remember that I liked it, but on the other hand, I remember so little about the viewing itself that I wouldn't know what to rate it.
