her voice is really beautiful, some good tracks but too many lows. "wucan" is beautiful, "queens will play" as well, but there are "bright lights" and "evil ways" (and the heavy riffs of many songs, and the often intrusive and inconsistent keyboard parts with the tracks) that heavily tip the scales away from the shores of enthusiasm. I felt it a lot when it was released, but above all I just hope that amber webber comes out with a solo album.

The review is well written, but it's too “bourgeois,” I don't know how else to put it.. it lingers on things that create an annoying disenchantment, I like to think that art comes before artists and their hormonal issues..
Joel & Ethan Cohen Burn After Reading

cute, indeed very cute. All these caricatures moving in the cosmic void of our days, amidst false idealisms (the agent when he shoots the gym director, accompanying the misunderstanding with a fantastic dialogue) and the pursuit of the trivial as a totalizing ideal. In this sea of nonsense, the ending can only be as it is, and only those who truly want something survive reality in the end. (just like in No Country for Old Men)

Really, what are deranking and decontrast? Nobody replied to me on the other review.

For now, I cautiously give it a 4, but I suspect that this is their best and that they have therefore found their dimension.

terrible because it's trivial. how trivial it will be when the Divine Comedy arrives. at best, a half-smile.

Briefly, because I have to run: saying that music is a means of propaganda makes no sense. It's music, period. If it's conceived ONLY as a vehicle for propaganda (secondary to the political message, thus merely background from the perspective of the MUSICIAN HIMSELF), it will probably be compositionally inferior, but the judgment must relate to the composition and not the message. Music has no "true" destination, as I see it. The fact that one ends up discussing democracy (which does not exist) to justify a negative musical judgment solely based on political grounds is, indeed, a beautiful contradiction. Ethics and politics are part of life, and music that addresses these (thematically) deals with a particular facet of humanity.

terrible idea.

The market is flooded with politically-charged music, whether it's pro-communist or right-wing like this one. / "Personally, I believe that no political issue on the face of the earth (even more so if extreme and/or intolerant) should affect the true essence of music and the real message it should communicate." / And here you contradict yourself: what message should it communicate, is there a true and right one? In music, form and content are inextricably linked, and by content, I’m not just referring to the lyrics, which still have an aesthetic function. That said, I don’t think I would listen to this album, but if musically it deserves a five, then five is the rating that everyone should read above the text. Best regards.
