ProjeKct Four West Coast Live

I would agree with macaco, but I'm looking forward to the new album (which was said to be scheduled for this year) like fresh water in the desert. Anyway, KC have gone well beyond prog; albums like Lark or Red show how far ahead they were compared to everyone else at the same time, (regardless of quality, I'm not particularly fond of Lark's) and how limiting the label of "simple" prog band was. There's a big conceptual difference between them and other sacred monsters like Genesis and VDGG. That said, I believe Fripp has also made some questionable or simply useless albums.

truly, truly "professional" and very interesting. I've never listened much to Hendrix, and I think it's time to take care of that. Best regards.

I agree with you.
883 La Donna, Il Sogno & Il Grande Incubo

comparing the 883 to Battisti/Mogol highlights the ongoing impoverishment from generation to generation, and for me, that's acceptable. I don't think this idiot (maybe it's not his fault, I'm sorry) will have a Battisti/Panella-like phase, in fact. And I don't believe there would be anyone who could understand or appreciate it (today).

Well, I can't say I'm particularly knowledgeable on the subject, but in the "neo-prog" melting pot, where a bit of everything is thrown in, I would recommend (if you don't already know them, which is quite possible to be honest) something by Porcupine Tree; their early albums are more in the "classic" prog vein, infused with slight experimentation and psychedelic twists, ("Signify" or "The Sky Moves Sideways") while the later ones are more "square," featuring heavy riffs and typically prog metal structures, while still winking at a certain melodic sensibility. (Here, choose between "Fear of a Blank Planet," the most recent, or the renowned "In Absentia") Otherwise, Don Caballero is a good alternative to prog and more generally to the virtuosic approach to rock/metal music; you can find just a review on the homepage. Cheers :)

Unfortunately, I've seen them live, and they are truly terrible, a stomachache-inducing group at best. I prefer two dirty and meaningful chords to twelve thousand of these guys. The review is well written, but if I'm not mistaken, you are the one who criticized Tool for their heaviness, funny enough..

There are all sorts of rumors about the new one: it seems there will also be a featuring by the guitarist from Melvins.

I hit my peak of irritation with "all is dream," which creates quite a bit of embarrassment for me: with these latest ones, I think they’ve shifted a little, and frankly, it was needed.
Don Caballero What Burns Never Returns

You did a much appreciated track-by-track, but you stop at the fourth song to keep it light.. I don’t know, what’s there is also well-written.. In my opinion, the album is the best of the don, although I still have to listen to the next one.
