In the mp3 era, everyone hears everything, and some things are no longer exclusive to the enthusiasts, who went through so much just to listen to (and own) this or that record. There was a kind of relationship with records, that's true. But I also couldn't say why I buy everything original; maybe because when I look at my shelf, it feels like I'm seeing my autobiography, like cutting down a tree and counting the rings of its trunk. Anyway, great review.

Good day everyone. @jargon: where did you leave off with Dylan? I would recommend, in addition to this, also the aforementioned "Time Out of Mind" from '97: suffering, painful, but incredibly inspired and intense. One of his best blues albums. Then perhaps "Oh Mercy" from '89 :)
@kosmo: I also catch him on the radio now and then, and it's a joy, besides the fact that he's usually surrounded by all sorts of rubbish that makes him shine even more :)

It is, in every way, a '90s album, but the fact that the tracks are relatively short and that it’s a melting pot of all the sounds from the previous albums (like "take me to the hospital," which has the little voices from "experience" and the singing/rhythms of "the fat of the land") makes it quite enjoyable overall. Better than the last one, which I think is rubbish.
