I completely agree, but all that technique doesn’t necessarily indicate a lack of heart. I’m not a fan of absolutes, and frankly, certain Dream Theater songs, or albums like "Metal Fatigue" or "I.O.U." by Holdsworth, which focus, if we may say so, on instrumental technique, have something to say to me. Moreover, if we define a genre and a style, it's because of what is opposite and contrary, but one thing does not exclude the other.

Generally speaking, I am opposed to Stoney's aversion to virtuous sounds and baroque flourishes (as can be seen from his comments on Dream Theater reviews), which leads him to define a good musician as someone who is all heart and no technique (more or less, eh XD). Gbrunoro defines virtuosity in some way as a stylistic/expressive element of the musician, meaning that those who collaborate with Ramazzotti and play in a certain way do so because they express themselves with their preferred style. In the end, I think both see it similarly. I didn't mean for this to be a sort of paraphrase, correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

nice review. I'm so ignorant that I've always thought that DJs from the Italian boot were just idiots who only pressed play and put together monotone and repetitive samples.

beautiful analysis of jugband blues by syderus. It remains for me one of the most enigmatic yet beautiful and touching tracks by pink floyd (in this case, solo barrett). Anyway, I prefer the self-titled solo album of the testamatta, I like it even more than the piper and the previous singles.
