I thank everyone for the comments, especially Melissa. Yes, in hindsight, this album is not truly a solid five; it alternates moments of absolute value with others that feel like filler. I wrote that it is the point of no return because it is the album that marks the group's shift towards the "lighter" sounds of their recent work. In this regard, for anyone wanting to approach the music of these crazies, I recommend this one, as it serves as a sort of middle ground, or you could do as I did and start with the latest, which I consider a little gem.
